Forming Mechanism and Preventive Measures of the Surface Crack in Thin Strip Produced by CSP

  • The surface and fringe cracks in thin strips produced by CSP process were studied. The forming mechanism and involved influencing factors were analyzed and then the preventive measures were put forward. The test results show that the main factors causing surface crack on thin strip are the enrichment of impurity elements (Cu,Sn,Sb et al.) in the interface of matrix and iron scale as well as the upper contents of residual elements in steel.
