  • In the consideration of the application of texture on-line measurement to metal sheets 8 different pole figure data of an Aluminium sheet and an IF steel sheet were measured with X-ray.The orientation distribution functions were calculated differently and analysed,in order to obtain the relationship between the pole figure data and the texture informations of metal sheets.It is shown that measured area of pole figures could be reduced with increasing pole figure number,and the way how the measured area of pole figures are reduced should be related to the texture characteristics of the metal sheets.
