Relationship between the Microstructure of Fe-CuC-MnS Sintered Steel and the Process

  • Relationship between the microstructure of Fe-Cu-C-MnS sintered steel and the process is inverstigated by using SEM microstructure observation and sintering model. it has been found that the distribution of MnS is due to it's additive method, when MnS is admixed most of MnS is distributed near the sintering neck of two Fe powders while MnS is pre-alloyed, most of MnS is inside Fe powder.
