Thermodynamic Analysis of SHS(TiO2-Al-C)-(Ti-C-Ni)Composite System

  • The effect of reaction heat per unit mass △H0 and adiabatic combustion temperature Tad on the compositions of(TiO2-Al-C)-(Ti-C-Ni) system is studied.It is found that △H0 is a linear function of the fraction of Ti-C-Ni in (TiO2-Al-C)-(Ti-C-Ni). The slope is controlled by γ, which is the fraction of Ni in Ti-C-Ni, and the cut keeps constant, which is equal to the reaction heat per unit mass of TiO2-Al-C. When γ=γ0=45.79%, addition of Ti-C-Ni has no effect on Tad, when γ<γ0, Tad increases. For γ=0.1, Tad, approximately increases linearly with the increasing addition of Ti-C-Ni, which is verified by experiments.
