Abstract

Abstract

The effects of different drying methods and procedures which are used to deal with poly(vinyl alcohol) on the swelling degree of poly (vinyl alcohol) gel have been investigated. The solubility of poly(vinyl alcohol) dried by alcohol is larger than that of poly(vinyl alcohol) dried by the air. The swelling degree of poly (vinyl alcohol) first swelled after thawing is larger than that of poly(vinyl alcohol) without first swelled after thawing.
