  • Based on the opinion that there is catastrophe phenomenon in fatigue fracture, the Whole loading system, including the test sample and the test machine, is studied.A cusp catastrophe model is presented, and the condition of the happening of the cusp catastrophe in metal fatigue fracture is obatined through theoretical analysis.
