Tribological Behavoir of Ni-P-MoS2 Composite Coatings

  • The tribological behavior of self-lubricating composite coatings of Ni-P-MoS2 with Ni-P as matrix and MoS2 as the dispersing agent is investigated.The results show that composite coatings of Ni-P-MoS2 have excellent antifriction and antiscuffing properties. The partical concentration of MoS2 and electroplating time have a great effect on its antifriction property. After heat treatment at 400℃ and one hour the antifriction property of the composite coating decrease slightly, but its antiscuffing capacity and service life increase greatly.
